Premier Mark McGowan is announcing right now that Phase 3 re-opening of the WA State and Economy will begin 11:59 pm Friday night, June 5 – to take effect Saturday June 6.

Examples of the lifting of restrictions include moving to a 2 sq metre per person rule – lifting indoor gatherings to 100 with appropriate measures, and lifting the ceiling to 300 at appropriately spaced venues.

Playgrounds reopen, Perth Zoo, beauty salons, outdoor sports and much more.

I’m also pleased that the government is undertaking stratified random testing, which will allow it to target risk populations and maintain a statistical measure of COVID-19 penetration in the state.

This is great news for everyone.

COVID-19 or not, please remember to keep safe during the wintry weather and upcoming flu season.

Enjoy the long weekend!

Regards,
Peter J. McLean
CEO
